ANDREA + ROBERT | Married in California

Andrea and Robert’s wedding was located at Borges Park in Farmington, California. The venue itself was home to both their ceremony and reception and is in the heart of Northern California’s farmland. Borges Park was filled with lush greens and so many little sweet spots to capture romantic moments between these two lovebirds. Robert is such a down to earth guy from Texas who married a sweet country California girl. Their wedding was the perfect combining of their lives and families… both so welcoming and hospitable!

Naturally their wedding included details full of country… and even incorporated both the California Style and the Texas feel. Some of my favorite details were her cowboy boots that made the perfect little heart… and the flag of her new home state. Andrea grew up in a home on her parent’s almond orchards so it was also very important to her that we captured some of their bridal portraits in the orchards.

Such a sweet, sweet day, and a perfect way to wrap up our week of farm wedding love! Enjoy their gallery by pressing play below:

This sweet bride and groom, Erin + Justin, have been all over the east coast… they grew up in Pennsylvania, currently live in Florida, and decided to enjoy their farm wedding in Taneytown, Maryland at a close family friend’s farm.

Taneytown Maryland farm wedding

It’s a working farm by day, so these two lovebirds spent time crafting the space to ooze rustic elegance, with draping fabric, added lights, long tables for dining with gorgeous orange chiavari chairs! The orange throughout the wedding was paired with pops of turquoise for a gorgeous color scheme to match the gorgeous day these two had together. So many fun photos to enjoy!

Romantic Moments…

You’ve been planning this day. Thinking about nothing else except it for the last several months (or has it already been a year?!) and you are dreaming of the romantic moments. When you are finally pronounced husband and wife and you kiss…dancing your first dance together…cutting the cake…Well as a woman who has been married for almost 10 years and has been to a lot of weddings (and who also happens to write for an awesome wedding blog!) let me drop a bomb on you. The romantic moments are the ones you haven’t planned. The ones you haven’t thought about because you didn’t know they were going to happen. Take for instance my husband’s reaction to seeing me walk down the aisle; his knees buckled. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. I could have no way of knowing because his reaction was all his, something I couldn’t foresee or plan. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. In life, it’s really the little moments that are actually the romantic ones you’ve always hoped for. It’s not kissing in the rain, it’s not him sweeping you up into his arms and kissing the heck out of you after an argument. It’s holding your hand as you greet your guests on your wedding day. It’s the smile that never seems to leave his face every time he catches a glimpse of you in your dress. These are the truly romantic moments. Enjoy every one of them!

Vintage Wedding Inspiration…

I love all things vintage. Truthfully, I’ve always felt that I was born in the wrong era. I think thats why I love vintage inspired weddings so much. Pick your favorite era and celebrate with all of the style and fun of that time! You could add a few elements from your favorite days gone by with the typography of your invitations or really run with the idea and use the fashion of the time to set the feel for your vintage inspired nuptials! No matter how you choose to add vintage flair, here is some inspiration to get the ideas flowing!
