ultimate bridal kit

A little while ago, we were contacted by the lovely Jamie of Mary Noon Events to check out their Ultimate Bridal Box! It looked lovely from the start, so when she asked us to review it, we said yes! She sent a complimentary kit over to our lifestyle editor Quinn. So before you dive in, just know we weren’t paid for this post, but did receive the kit as a gift (a mandatory legal disclaimer!). Now… let’s turn it over to Quinn to hear her honest review!

Quinn here… When I’m not writing here at I Love Farm Weddings, I work as a wedding and event stylist on Martha’s Vineyard, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on The Ultimate Bridal Box and see what it was all about! It was love at first sight. The team at Mary Noon Events really got all of the details just right! From the quality of the paper, the presentation of the goodies inside of the box, to the beautiful calligraphy, everything just welcomes you and makes you want to dive right in! ‘vc./,

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect before receiving it. I was thinking that maybe the kit would contain a notebook, some helpful checklists and worksheets (as so many “wedding planning kits” do). What is actually included in the kit went well beyond my expectations! Inside my box I found: a personalized welcome note, a copy of Mary Noon’s book After the Ring, a little black notebook for writing everything down, a checklist for everything you need to do to plan your wedding starting a year from your date, a flower guide, a scented candle (that smells amazing!), pink bath salts, a sachet of dried roses, pale pink nail polish, a spool of soft white ribbon and a pen! Everything you want and more!

Everything is designed to get you excited to jump into planning your big day. All of the scents, textures and images are perfectly picked and thoughtfully selected. It really makes the idea of planning a wedding fun and exciting and filled with loveliness (which it is!).

My favorite item from the whole kit is Mary’s book After the Ring; The ultimate guide to planning your wedding. The book is full of helpful, practical advice, tips, visual inspiration and checklists. After each chapter are pages for jotting down your own notes and ideas. Each chapter is laid out to make planning approachable. Mary’s professionalism and warmth come through and you really feel like she is helping and guiding you. She also gives no nonsense advice, as you would expect from your planner! She walks you through everything from deciding on the style of your wedding, to proper etiquette when addressing invitations and what questions to ask vendors. As a wedding stylist, I truly appreciate the fact that she also champions hiring a professional planner and stylist to help with your day. This book is really a wonderful guide for brides, but nothing can help more than someone whose job it is to help make your wedding dream a reality.

To me, this kit is such a great gift for the bride to be! It’s full of wonderful advice and lovely goodies to make you so excited to plan and more importantly have the wedding of your dreams!!!

Thanks to Mary Noon Events for sharing your Ultimate Bridal Box with us! We’re happy to spread the love of your beautiful kit. Well done!

Happy Friday friends! It’s been a while since I’ve done a color inspiration post and today seemed like the perfect day! I’m in love with the color cream. It’s a little bit more romantic than a stark white (which is great for a wedding with a modern feel). Cream is fresh, it’s new, it is innocent and youthful, perfect for a vintage inspired wedding! It softens a tablescape, works on all skin colors and is a wonderful choice for a bridal party. It is a great accent because it literally goes with everything! So have fun with the color cream…how would you use it?!

Farmhouses are near and dear to my heart and I particularly love ones that capture the romance of living on a farm! This bedroom is the perfect example! Having both a floral wallpaper and bedspread might seem like it would overpower a space but because this is a smaller room it can handle it! This sweet room makes me dream of meadows of wildflowers and the hum of crickets….oh summer in a farmhouse… perfection!!

So you’ve picked the perfect spot for your ceremony…a lovely outdoor ceremony. The only hitch is how to define the spot where you and your love will stand and exchange vows?! One beautiful way to create that space is with an arbor. They can easily be built if you are handy (or know some handy people!) and can be styled with flowers, fabric, origami swans, tape ribbons okay really anything!! You can tailor them to fit the look and feel of the wedding. Add bold flowers and feathers for a more boho feel or hang a delicate chandelier from the center for a vintage inspired wedding! The possibilities are endless. If you can dream it, you can create it and have a one of a kind arbor for your wedding!!

I love Instagram for so many reasons! I always find interesting and beautiful images that people are sharing with the world. Instagram allows people to look at their world in a new way and be inspired by others points of view! It really is one of the best places to go if you are looking for wedding inspiration. There are so many talented stylists, photographers and florists on Instagram sharing their passions and ideas that I just had to share a few favorites! Each of these feeds has an undeniable wow factor, a sophisticated and beautiful approach to how they capture their images and how they choose to share them. Just looking at them makes my mind spin with ideas and they just make me…well inspired! While you’re checking out these beautiful feeds don’t forget to stop by and follow our own Emily at @emilywalen and me at @quinnsavard … I hope you enjoy all of the loveliness of @tingefloral @ashleyfoxdesigns @soilandstem and @terrain_weddings
