Valerie - I’ve used Etsy to find invitations for several events before, and it’s great because you find unique invites that are reasonably priced. Plus, you can find a design to fit your wedding’s style.ReplyCancel

Can’t you just picture sitting in this beautifully restored farmhouse and watching the snow fall?! I sometimes have a hard time when old homes get a modern remake but this one is done in such a respectful way that the old and new work harmoniously together to create this peaceful retreat. Happy quiet dreaming on this Friday friends!

There are two trends that are colliding in a most beautiful way; the new tradition of “trashing the dress” when the bride intentionally ruins her wedding dress in a fun way and the new obsession with underwater photography. When these two ideas collide, awesome, ethereal, unbelievably romantic images ensue! I am absolutely in love with the intimacy and tenderness of some of these images. With everything billowing and flowing they are like something out of a fairytale and make for unique and unexpected images from a day that is undoubtably an already beautiful celebration of love!

As with most things, I believe simple is better even when it comes to decorating for the holidays. There is something so enchanting about simple greens adorning white walls. Greens are a wonderful non denominational celebration of winter. This farmhouse with it’s chipping white paint and minimalist greens and candle is such a lovely, quiet celebration of the season! Happy Friday friends!

Typically when one thinks of a wedding you picture; sunshine, warm weather and a long light filled evening. There are a great many couples, however, that picture their dream day taking place in the snow. Winter is a beautiful though often overlooked wedding season. The coziness of a fire crackling in the hearth during your ceremony, dreamy pictures of the happy couple walking in the snow…it’s pretty romantic. The tricky part of planning a winter wedding is how to bring in colors that aren’t too, well, holiday. There are so many beautiful winter flowers to use to create a color story that will add visual interest and texture to bouquets and on the tables. Some of my favorite flowers for winter celebrations are Anemones, Cotton, Lilies, Eucalyptus and Ranuncluses. These flowers are all beautiful as stand alone flowers but combined have a soft dreamy quality that encapsulates a winter wedding. Flowers are just such a beautiful way to help create the day of your dreams and winter flowers are no exception!
