Are your guests driving a distance to get to your farm wedding? A few hours (or more!) in the car shows how much they want to be with you on your wedding day! So return the favor. How about packing car goodie bags for your guests! Similar to a welcome box that greets your guests in their hotel room (if it’s a destination or weekend wedding), you’d put together some yummy car treats, something to drink, maybe a game to play.
The bag… It could be a box. It could be a gift bag. It could be a custom reusable tote – there are so many places you can make your own totes these days without breaking the bank.
Snacks… Maybe it’s all of you and your special someone’s favorite snacks – your guests could learn new things about what makes you the perfect couple on their drive! Maybe it is all locally made goodies so they learn about the area you’ve chosen for your wedding day. Don’t forget something to drink!
And a game to play… It could be questions about you two. It could be a stack of mad libs about your wedding day. Maybe it’s a game you create to help them see cool stuff along their drive. Doesn’t have to be much, just something to entertain them.
Make it as big or as small as you want. Obviously, making a big goodie bag means that you will have to figure out how to get it to your guests. If they are local, you could hand deliver them. I am sure your guests would love to see you before the big day (or have the best man drive around to deliver!). If you have to mail them, you may want to scale down to something more manageable. But the thought is what counts. It lets your guests know that you truly appreciate their efforts in joining you on your big day.
